Obituary

Funeral services for Nettie Sue (Cobb) Henson, 82, life-long resident of Wagoner will be held at 3:00 p.m., Friday, March 1, 2013 at the First Christian Church in Wagoner with the Reverend Billy Henson, Reverend Carl Murphy and Reverend Loy Hoskins officiating. Nettie was born September 3, 1930 in Wagoner to her parents, Gilbert Benson and Nettie Elvira (Sullivan) Cobb. She attended Wagoner High School and later attended Connors State College. Nettie worked as a Nurse's Aide for Dr. Loveless in Tulsa, Oklahoma for 25 years and served many of the ill by cooking meals and taking them to doctor's appointments. She was a long-time member of the Twilight Twisters Square Dance Club and member of the First Christian Church in Wagoner. Surrounded by family, she passed away peacefully at the home of her twin sister, Bettie, Thursday, February 28, 2013. Nettie was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Bill Henson and eight of her siblings, Joe Ben Cobb, Alfred Bud' Cobb, Evelyn Graham, Naomi Fielden, Van Cobb, John Cobb, Billy Cobb and Ruth Holt. She is survived by her three sons, Bill Henson and wife, Kathy of Houston, Texas, Richard Henson and wife, Ellen of Wagoner and Michael Henson and wife, Tona also of Houston; a daughter, Kathy Koneman and husband Charlie of Stillwater; her twin sister, Bettie Center; her sister, Isabel Allen; her brother, Bob Cobb all of Wagoner; her grandchildren, Bill Jr., and wife Kang, Greg and wife, Lisa, Robert, Shane and wife, Angela, Mendy, Rick Jr. and wife, Ladonna, Amy and husband, Eric, MacMichael, Sacha, Chase, Will, Nate and Nachel; great grandchildren, Anna, Andrew, Victoria, Valerie, Mallory, Aidan, Gavin, Kyle, Kage, Marie, Michael, Marshall, Mason and Michael; many nieces and nephews, other relative and many friends. Serving as pallbearers are Nettie's grandsons, Billy Henson, Greg Henson, Robert Henson, MacMichael Henson, Chase Mobus, Marshall Pace, Gavin White, Rick Henson and Shane Henson. Honorary pallbearers will be Bob Taylor, Jim Self, James Jennings, Frank Greer, Jim Aveni, Lane Mackey and Matthew Tierney. Funeral arrangements and interment in Pioneer Cemetery in Wagoner are directed by Mallett Funeral Home of Wagoner.
