Norma June Davis was born February 25, 1936 in Blackgum, Oklahoma. She was a resident of Sand Springs, OK for many years while raising her family, and she worked as a nurse aide, mostly in the home nursing industry. Later June was employed in the bakery department of a food store. She lived in Clyde, TX for a time. June divided her time in her later years between Oklahoma and Texas, in order to spend time with her family. Norma June departed this life on Monday, May 19, 2014 in Wagoner, OK at the age of 78 years, 2 months, and 22 days. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Alvin Davis, her parents, John and Ruby (Pack) Wandell; and two grandchildren, Randy Dye and Pandora Wilson. Survivors include her children and their spouses, Jackie Higginbotham of Oklahoma, John and Alexis Higginbotham of Wagoner, OK, Callie Ward of Oklahoma, Mitchell and Nita Dye of Graham, TX, Randy Dye of Sapulpa, OK and Sharon Taylor of Wagoner, OK; twelve grandchildren, Jack, Leslie, Jerry, John, Joshua, Jeneal, Zach, Justin, Briana, Adam, Samantha and Hannah; fourteen great-grandchildren; two sisters, Velma Hampton and Fern Johnson, one brother, Johnny Wandell; other relatives and friends. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, May 22, 2014 at Mallett Funeral Home Chapel in Wagoner. The Reverend Roger Miller will officiate. Cremation arrangements are by Mallett Funeral Home.
