Obituary

Norma Deloris Humble Pace was born May 9, 1929 in Shidler, OK, one of nine children born to Emory Hershell Reed and Lorene Mae (Hieronymus) Reed.

She married Reuben Junior Humble, with whom she shared a life and attended the Calvary Assembly of God in Tahlequah.  After Reuben passed in 1996 Norma started a widows and widowers support group. She later married Robert "Bob" Pace, they moved to Wagoner, OK to make their home. Norma loved to decorate and take on DIY projects. She enjoyed gardening.

Norma was a mighty prayer warrior. Her faith saw her through two bouts with breast cancer, which she survived. She shared her faith with others when she reached out with her letters of encouragement containing helpful scriptures. She was accomplished on the accordion and had played for church services in past years.

Norma departed this life to be with the Lord on Sunday, May 21, 2023 at her home in Tahlequah at the age of 94 years. She was preceded in death by her two husbands, Reuben Junior Humble and Robert "Bob" Pace; her parents, Emory and Lorene Reed; an infant son, Hershell Ray Humble; and siblings, Gene Reed, David Reed, Naomi Tipton, Madonna Hicks and Wayne Reed.

She is survived by three daughters, Tina Pennington, DeAnna Humble and Ellen Brewer; grandchildren, Ryan and Meghan Pennington, Haley Pennington, Hunter Pennington, Aurelia and Robert Waldron, Alexandra Martin, Kim and Brian Olson, Ariann Schilling and D.J. Schilling; her brothers, Don and Faye Reed and C. L. and Rose Reed; sister, Sharon Page; great-grandchildren, Christopher Waldra, Gabriella Martin, Landon Martin, McKenzie Dicesari, Nic Farmer and Joshua Farmer; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
