Obituary

Norman Rowe was born May 17, 1932 in Tullahassee, OK to Franklin and Ether (Hurst) Rowe. He worked as a farmer while growing up in Porter and graduating from Porter High School. He was a carpenter and small business owner. While in Washington Norman was employed in a raw steel plant, Graham Steel. He built boat docks and dams, including the Pensacola Dam. Norman loved gardening, fishing, and hunting. Norman departed this life on Monday, December 28, 2009 at his home in Wagoner. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Betty and two brothers, Jesse and Troy. Survivors include his children and their spouses, Carey and Ronda Rowe of Wagoner; Caren Rowe of Wagoner; Rick and Leslie Rowe of Redmond, WA, Gary and Mary Rowe of Wagoner; and Beth Ann and Lewis Gordon of Nowata; sisters and brothers-in-law, Dorothy and Leon "Red" Lampkin of Dibble, OK, Millie and Jerry Bourne of Tulsa and Julia Moore of Vian; a brother, Virgil Rowe, also of Vian; nine grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held at 1 PM Saturday, January 2, 2009 at the Mallett Funeral Home Chapel in Wagoner. The Reverend Terry Presley will officiate. Pallbearers will be grandsons, Chris Rowe, Taylen Gordon, Joshua Rowe, Mike Altman, Mike Rogers and Jeff Collier. Interment was in Greenwood Cemetery in Porter, OK.
