Obituary

Junior Lorentz, 83, passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 28th with his family by his side. He passed over to his eternal life of glory after a hard fought year of illness.

Service: 2:00 P.M. Saturday, January 4, 2024 at the Ryan Church of Christ with interment following in Terral, OK.  Visitation will be in Ryan, OK, at the Dudley Funeral Home on Friday, January 3, 2024, from 1:00 - 7:00 P.M. with family attending 5:00 - 7:00.

Otis Junior Lorentz was born November 10,1941, in Ryan, Oklahoma, to Otis and Mable Lorentz. He spent his childhood in Terral, Oklahoma and graduated from Terral High School. He married Cynthia Cole on March 26, 1960 and started their family in Ryan. Junior and Cynthia built a life together and started a business in 1962 in Ryan which they operated for many years. They raised all four of their children in Ryan. Junior was a devoted Christian and served faithfully as an elder at the Ryan Church of Christ. In the 1990's Junior moved to Ardmore and started a new business adventure. Junior enjoyed many years of success in Ardmore until he decided to retire in 2018. While in Ardmore, Junior was an active and faithful member of the Merrick Drive Church of Christ. Junior developed a love for golf and made many wonderful memories on the golf course with his friends and family. Junior and Cynthia moved to Wagoner, OK in 2022.

Junior is best remembered as a faithful follower of Christ, a loving husband, a devoted family man, and as someone who was kind, humble, extremely generous with time, money, grace and mercy.

Junior Lorentz was preceded in death by his parents William Otis and Mable Elizabeth Lorentz, brothers: Doyle Lorentz and Bobby Lorentz, sister Alice Jane Lorentz, son, Mike Lorentz and granddaughter Chelsea Methvin.

Survivors include the love of his life Cynthia, his wife of 64 years; son Brian and wife Jina Lorentz of Wichita Falls, TX; daughter Phyllis Methvin of Vernon, TX; daughter  Sharon Mays and husband Steve of Wagoner, OK. He is also survived by his brother Gene and wife Mary Lorentz. Junior and Cynthia have and are loved by 15 grandkids and 10 great-grandkids, along with many other family members and friends.
