The funeral service for Pat Sanders will be at 10:30 am Saturday, January 4, 2019 in the Chapel at Mallett Funeral Home and Crematory. Aaron Dwayne Riley will officiate.

The family will gather with friends for a Visitation Friday evening from 5:00-7:00 pm

Interment will be at 1:00 pm Saturday in Downing Cemetery in Baron, OK. Pallbearers will be Noah Riley, Ted Cox, Dylan Collateta, Jordan Rolin, Tyler Clouse, Adam Shell, Donnie Pennington, Aaron Pennington, John Sweeney, Lance Millard and Nathan Croslin. Pat's nephews will be Honorary Pallbearers.

Glorice Pat Sanders was born December 27, 1941 in Baron, OK, Adair County, the youngest of ten children born to James Archie and Ethel (Gibbons) Cagle. She grew up in the Westville, OK area.

Pat and her husband, Murl Sanders, made their home in Wagoner for many years. Pat was a familiar face to many, as she worked in the Wagoner Public School system in a number of capacities, including third and fourth grade teacher aide, school librarian and administrative assistant to the counselor office and the athletic director.

In later years Pat lived with family in Purcell, OK. She was a devoted mother and grandmother, and was proud of all her children and grandchildren's accomplishment. She loved to watch family in all their activities, including football with the OBU Bisons and the Purcell Dragons, as well as OU football and Oklahoma Thunder basketball.

Pat passed this life late Tuesday, December 31, 2019 in Tulsa, OK at the age of 78 years. She had peace in her heart that she had been present for many of her family's events.

Preceding her in death were her husband, Murl Sanders; all of her siblings, Golda, Georgia, Sadie, Annabelle, Clebert, Mildred, Lorene, Johnny and Wayne; her son-in-law, Walter Dwayne Riley, a niece, Debbie Segovia, and her very best friend, Mary Elizabeth Millard.

Survivors include two daughters, Kerri Lynn Riley of Purcell, OK and Karyn Meryle Sanders of Denver, CO; grandchildren, Aaron Dwayne Riley and wife, Christiena of Madison, WI, Blake Riley of Purcell, OK, Brandi Gilley of Oklahoma city, OK, Isabella Medina and Sebastian Medina; great-grandchildren, Brelyn, Breklyn, Brinxlyn, and Noah; step-grandchildren Kristen McFarland and Ashley Riley and their families; a brother-in-law, Melvin Asbil; sister-in-law, Christine Cagle; a number of nieces and nephews, including Judy Turner, Scott Sanders and Kim Moses; extended family and friends.
