IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Patricia (Pat)
Brady
March 1, 1931 – February 27, 2023
Patricia (Pat) was born to Clement and Lorraine (nee Hintz) Strong in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. During her school days, Pat was a majorette in the North Division High School band and lettered in Girls Athletics as a softball player. She helped her mother run their rooming house and later, sponsor dances for the military at the United Service Organization (USO). Pat met her future husband Paul Brady at one of the dances. They were married on September 27, 1958.
Paul and Pat's child Paul Jr. was born on June 30, 1959. As Paul Sr. was often at sea serving in the Navy, Pat typically had the responsibility of parenting alone when Paul Jr. was young. She also worked hard as a bookkeeper and later as a proof operator for Tri-City National Bank.
After retiring in 1983, Paul and Pat moved to Mountain View, Arkansas where they lived in a home Paul built on a wooded mountain. They enjoyed watching the wildlife, traveling on bus tours and cruises, square dancing, and volunteering at the VFW and Amvets. Pat made many crafts, including sewing, needlework, and glazing ceramics. She loved playing bingo, often winning more often than one would think was statistically achievable.
As Pat's health became an issue, Paul Sr. was a devoted caregiver, taking her to numerous doctor appointments and handling the household duties. Paul Jr. assumed these duties, providing care for his mother and father during the last years of their lives. Pat was grateful for their care.
Pat was preceded in death by her husband, Paul, both parents, and sisters, Geraldine (Henry) Pliska and Virginia (Quentin) Moore. She is survived by her son Paul (Beth) Brady, brother-in-law Carl (Merna) Brady of Frederick, Colorado, sister-in-law Charlene Brady of Tulsa, Oklahoma, many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
The memorial service will be held Saturday, March 4, 2023, at Mallett Funeral Home and Crematory at 3:00 pm. A dinner will be held for the family following the service. Later, Pat's remains will be interred at Fort Gibson National Cemetery, beside those of her late husband.
