Patricia L. Hamilton, 84, of Checotah, OK, passed away Wednesday, March 20, 2019 at St. Francis Hospital, Tulsa, OK. She was born April 14, 1934 in Clinton, OK to James W. Walker and Mary Elizabeth (Doyle) Walker. On September 4, 1953 she married Tom T. Hamilton in Oklahoma City. They were married for 57 years until Tom departed in July of 2010. She is survived by her four children, Teresa M. Hamilton of Checotah, OK, T. Alan Hamilton of Skokie, IL, George G. (Cathy) Hamilton of Gilberts, IL and Joe Hamilton of Elkhart, IN. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren, Katie (Casey) Vetter, Sarah Hamilton, Ryan Hamilton, James (Laura) Hamilton, William Hamilton, Travis Hamilton, Billy Hamilton, Sean Hamilton, Shannon Hamilton and Samantha Hamilton; 6 great-grandchildren and her beloved furbabies, Princess, Pepper and Pearl. She was preceded in death by her husband, Tom; her two sisters, Betty Stout and Jenny Conklin; niece, Maggie Sapaugh; and nephew, Jimmy Earl Stout.
Pat attended Oklahoma State University. She was a Keypunch Operator and was promoted to Account Manager at Inlander Steinler Paper Company of Elk Grove Village, IL where she worked for many years. She and Tom moved to Leesburg, Indiana where she was Accounting Manager for Maple Leaf Farms in Milford, IN from where she retired. They became snow birds living in both Indiana and Oklahoma. After Tom's passing she stayed in Oklahoma full time, where she became a member of Texanna Ladies Auxiliary and Treasurer of Texanna Lady Crafters (TLC). Pat was an avid quilter and won many ribbons. She was also Treasurer of Peacemakers Quilt Guild and a member of Kay Depot Quilt Group. She was a member of St. Paul's Catholic Church in Eufaula, OK.
Cremation will take place with a memorial and burial on June 15 th in Tecumseh Cemetery in Tecumseh, OK.
