Obituary

Patty Kay (Turnham) Cooper was born on May 18, 1943 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She graduated from Wagoner High School.  Patty married the love of her life, Cotton Cooper on February 24, 1962.  They celebrated 62 years of marriage.

Patty was the owner of Wagoner Flowers for 25 years before retiring.  She loved flowers and loved to help her clients make others feel special with her gifted abilities as a florist.  She enjoyed gardening and volunteering. Helping others was something Patty was very passionate about.  Family was very important to her, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  She loved attending church and attended First Baptist Church in Wagoner, OK, since the age of 5. Seeing her Church friends and family always brought her great joy.  She sang beautifully in the choir for many years as well.  She enjoyed watching the Kansas City Chiefs football games.

Patty departed this life early Tuesday morning, April 23, 2024 at her home, surrounded by her loving family, at the age of 80 years.  Preceding her in death were her parents, I.W. and Ida Mae Turnham; and two brothers, Suell Grimm and Jack Grimm.

Those cherishing the many memories of Patty include her loving husband, Cotton Cooper of the home; a daughter Sherrie Brown of Muskogee, OK; a son, Butch Cooper and his wife, Tonya of Wagoner, OK; grandchildren, Sara Hefner and her husband, Zack of Wagoner, OK, Wesley Brown, of Fort Smith, AR,  Jiggs Wilbanks of Wagoner, OK, Kyndal Whitecotton of Tulsa, OK, Alexandria Cooper, of Tulsa, OK, Sophia Cooper of Tulsa, OK, Sydney Cooper, of Tulsa, OK, and Savannah Cooper of Tulsa, OK; and great-grandchildren, Ethan Brown, Benjamin Hefner, and Samuel Hefner.
