IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Paul Thomas
Caskey Sr.
August 28, 1924 – June 24, 2020
Paul Thomas Caskey Sr. was born August 28, 1924 in Webbers Falls, Oklahoma to Claude Carter Caskey and Goldie (Tittle) Caskey. Paul enlisted in the United States Marine Corps June 16, 1943 and served honorably during World War II, with service in the Asiatic Pacific Area, Solomon Island, Marianas Island and Volcano Islands. We are forever grateful for his service, including his participation in action against the Japanese on Guam. Paul was very proud to be one of the veterans participating in the Flight of Honor to Washington, D.C. several years ago.
Paul married the former Shirley Jean Marlow on February 14, 1948 in Tulsa, OK. They were blessed with a loving life together that spanned more than 63 years. Born to this union were three sons, Paul Thomas Jr., Randy Lee and Clay Carter and two daughters, Paulette and Peggy Jean. The numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren that followed were Paul's pride and joy.
Before retirement Paul was a power plant operator for the Army Corps of Engineers. He enjoyed farming all his life.
Paul departed this life Wednesday morning, June 24, 2020 at the Claremore Veterans Center, Claremore, OK at the age of 95 years. He was preceded in death by his parents, Claude and Goldie Caskey; his wife, Shirley Jean Caskey; a son, Randy Lee Caskey; two brothers, Joseph Caskey and Kenneth Tittle and two sisters, Mary Elizabeth Brewer and Josephine Helene Goddard.
Left to cherish his memory are his children: Paul Thomas Caskey Jr. and his wife, Diana Kay of Big Cabin, OK, Paulette Caskey of Wagoner, OK, Peggy Jean Caskey of Batesville, AR and Clay Carter Caskey of Adair, OK; eight grandchildren: Danny, Heather, Shelley, Stacey, Amy, Jason, Julie and Whitney; great-grandchildren: Dylan, Jacob, Shyanna, Devin, Megan, Levi, Tyler, Austin, Brayden, Samantha, Danny Jr, Braxten and Morgan; great great-grandchildren, Willow, Hudsyn and soon to be here, Axel; other extended family and friends.
