Paula Faye Meek was born February 19, 1942 in Los Angeles, California to Frances Gaylene (Goodwin) and Harold Benson Dane, who both preceded her in death. She moved to Oklahoma at an early age and graduated from Stigler High School. She married Harold Max Meek on February 24, 1962, and they began a long and happy life together. Paula attended college when her four children were young and yet found time to express her extensive artistic talent through painting, pottery, poetry and other media. She was known as a great joke teller and enjoyed fishing and camping. Paula departed this life at her home in the Toppers area of Wagoner on Saturday, September 1, 2012. She is survived by her husband of fifty years, Harold Meek of the home; four children and their spouses, Cynthia Kay Meek, Sondra Lynn and Tony Palmer, Harold (JR) and Lisa Meek and Larry Don and Kim Meek; one sister, Jane Anne and her husband, Dennis Porter; ten grandchildren, five great grandchildren; other relatives and friends. A graveside funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, September 4, 2012 at Pioneer Cemetery in Wagoner. The Reverend Bill Holcomb will officiate.
