Obituary

Peggy Lou Judkins was born December 23, 1934,in Porter, Oklahoma to John Henry and Elsie Mae (Bookout) Yochum. She grew up in Porter, and as a young woman in the 1950's began a career in the workplace at the Rhinehart Oil News in Tulsa. In the 1960's she worked in Dallas as a Kelly girl, and later worked for Acme Engineering. Later, after specialized training, Peggy changed careers to become a Youth Guidance Specialist at the Oklahoma School for the Blind. She and her husband, Ivan Leon Judkins, were married November 4, 1966, and made their home in Muskogee for many years. She was a member of the Community Church in Muskogee. Peggy departed this life on Saturday, April 25, 2015, at Eastgate Village in Muskogee, with her loving family at her side. They will always cherish her memory and her teachings of the right ways of life. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Michelle and Mike Jeffcoat of Muskogee, and their son, Grant; her stepson, Randy Judkins, of Tulsa and his children, Brooklyn, Bristen and Blake, and Randy's three grandsons. She is also survived by one brother, Mike Yochum, and his wife, Paula, of Porter; two sisters, Mary Sue Tedder and her husband, Bill, and Jacque Daniel and her husband, Terry, all of Porter; and a precious sister-in-law, Bertie Jo Yochum; numerous nephews and nieces , especially Tammy, who was like a daughter, and her husband, Bill Mooney, of Glenpool, OK, their children, Hank (Kelly), Levi (Jessica), and Emylee (Caleb), and their three grandchildren. Peggy was preceded in death by her husband, Ivan Leon Judkins; her parents, Henry and Elsie Yochum; a brother, Buddy Yochum; a sister, Patsy Wilson; a baby brother, Henry Eugene Yochum; a stepson, Roger Judkins; two nieces, Kim Owens and Rhonda Webb; and a nephew, Greg Tedder. A graveside funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday, April 29, 2015, in Greenwood Cemetery in Porter. The Reverend Roger Pratt will officiate. Honorary pallbearers will be Butch Daniel, Rusty McCall, Levi Mooney, Bill Mooney, Terry Daniel and Willard Judkins.
