Phyllis Ann Pofahl was born November 5, 1941 in Muskogee, OK to James and Mollie (Sanders) Worley. She attended Muskogee schools. On March 21, 1959 Phyllis was married to Tommy Joe Pofahl Sr. in Stigler, OK. They made their home in Muskogee where Phyllis was employed at Worth's, JC Penney, and Kmart. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and enjoyed travel and arts and crafts. Her hobbies included bingo and flower gardening, and she was an avid reader. Phyllis died on Saturday, March 3, 2012, in Tulsa, OK, following a lengthy illness. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Mary Rainbolt. She is survived by her loving husband of nearly 53 years,Tommy Joe Pofahl of the home; three sons and their wives, Tommy Joe' Jr. and Diane Pofahl of Tulsa, Robert and Sherrie Pofahl of Muskogee and Larry Pofahl of Muskogee; six grandchildren; 3 great -grandchildren; a sister, Linda Perryman of Muskogee; several nieces; other relatives and friends. The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 10, 2012 at Mallett Funeral Home Chapel in Wagoner with the Reverend Carl Murphy officiating. Mrs. Pofahl's nephews will serve as pallbearers. Interment will be in Greenhill Cemetery in Muskogee, OK. Mallett Funeral Home in Wagoner is in charge of arrangements.
