Randall J. Cargill was born August 26, 1936 in Vici, Oklahoma to Lloyd and Hessie (Sliger) Cargill. He completed his education with a Master in Education degree. Randall was an educator well remembered by many of his students for whom he was principal, teacher and coach. He began his career in Porter Public Schools, then at Okay, and finally at Fort Gibson schools. He retired from education in 1987.

Randall married the former Mary Nigh on June 12, 1965. They had a wonderful life together as they raised their family, sharing the same profession as teachers. Randall and Mary made their home in Fort Gibson, OK for more than forty years and were members of the First United Methodist Church there. Recently they moved to Wagoner, OK.

Randall departed this life early Friday, April 16, 2021 in Muskogee, OK at the age of 84 years. He was preceded in death by his parents and a daughter, Vickey LaDawn Cargill.

Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Mary Cargill; two daughters and sons-in-law, Lewinda and Jason Giddens and Ranell and Scott Curry, all of Wagoner, OK; grandchildren, Tyler Curry, Kyle Curry, Allie Giddens, and Abby Curry; sisters, Annabel Miller of Fort Gibson, OK and Noveta Walker and husband, Jerry Lee, of Porter, OK; a brother-in-law, George Nigh and his wife, Donna, of Oklahoma City, OK; many nieces and nephews; great-nieces and nephews; extended family and friends.

A memorial service will be held at 2:30 pm Saturday, April 24 at the Fort Gibson United Methodist Church. The family asks that the dress code be casual.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to a charity of your choice.
