Raymond Oliver Norman, age 92, of Coweta, died Wednesday, July 14, 2010, at Tulsa, OK. A memorial service will be held at 10 A.M. Saturday, July 24, 2010 at the Mallett Funeral Home Chapel in Wagoner. The Reverend Don Whitby will officiate. Raymond was born April 10, 1918 in Wagoner, OK, one of twelve children born to Albert C. and Josephine Norman. His parents and all siblings have preceded him in death. He graduated from Wagoner High School and attended college to study accounting. In his early years Raymond worked for the Kansas City Police Department as a cleric and then for a time worked as a machinist. Before retirement Raymond was a custodian for the Tulsa Public Schools. He was blessed to be able to enjoy music all his life and was a talented writer of music. Raymond could still remember and play the old hymns until just recently on the harmonica he took up later in life. His wife, Addie "Rose" Norman preceded him in death in 2005. Survivors include his daughter and son-in-law, Karla and Dwaine Davis of Tulsa; his son, Larry Norman of Tulsa; and numerous nieces and nephews and their families.
