Funeral services for Reta Sue (Self) Owens, 76, long-time resident of Wagoner, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, June 25, 2010 at the Mallett Funeral Home Chapel in Wagoner with the Reverend Clay Frost officiating. Reta was born January 21, 1934 in Mount Judy, Arkansas to her parents, Francis B. Pete' and Ruby M. (McCutcheon) Self. Early in life, Reta's family moved to the Tulsa, Oklahoma area where grew up and she attended school. She was a homemaker and very dedicated to her churches throughout her life. She was a very generous and appreciative person and she always cherished her time spent with friends and family. Reta peacefully passed away Thursday, June 24, 2010 at the Wagoner Care Center. Preceding her in death, were her parents and her brother, Roy Self. She is survived by her brother, Jim D. Self and his wife, Billie of Wagoner; nieces and nephews, Jimmy, Linda, Donna, Connie, Dalton, Steve, Mark and Tammy; numerous great-nieces and great-nephews; other relatives and friends. Funeral arrangements and interment in Floral Haven Cemetery in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma were directed by Mallett Funeral Home of Wagoner.
