The graveside funeral service to celebrate the life of Richard Boyd Carroll will be at 2:00 pm Wednesday, July 17, 2019 in the Bennett Addition of Elmwood Cemetery in Wagoner, Ok. The Reverend Lisa Sowers will officiate.

Family and friends will call for viewing on Tuesday from Noon until 7:00 pm and Wednesday from 9:00 am until noon.

Richard Boyd Carroll was born March 21, 1945 on the Mare Island Naval Base in Vallejo, California. As his parents moved with naval assignments, Richard got to live in many different places while growing up. After graduating from high school Richard served in the United State Air Force.

He married the former Patsy Gale Vanbrunt on August 31, 1984. Patsy and Richard established their home in Broken Arrow, OK, and Richard worked as a toolmaker for Hilti Corporation.

In his spare time Richard dearly loved to fish.

Richard departed this life Sunday, July 14, 2019 at the Claremore Veteran's Center in Claremore, OK. At the age of 74 he succumbed to Alzheimer's disease that had troubled him for several years. His parents, Herman and Thelma Carroll preceded him in death.

Survivors include his loving wife, Patsy Carroll of the home; a stepson and his wife, Scotty and Sarah Williams of Broken arrow, OK; two grandchildren, Hunter and Chloe Williams; other extended family and friends.
