Rickie Brackett was born on September 18, 1957, to Jess Allen Brackett Sr. and Mary (Drywater) Brackett in Muskogee, Oklahoma. He attended Porter Public Schools. He married the love of his life, Belinda Kay Lemley, on April 9, 1983. They shared 43 years of marriage, building a life filled with love, devotion, and cherished memories.
Rickie enjoyed hunting, fishing, cutting wood, and spending time outdoors. He loved building things and took great pride in his work. Above all, he cherished spending time with his grandchildren and loved them dearly. Rickie always put others before himself and was truly selfless. Known for his humor, he loved telling jokes and was quite the jokester.
Rickie departed this life on Wednesday, January 7, 2026, at his home in Vinita, Oklahoma, at the age of 68. Preceding him in death are his parents, Jess and Mary Brackett; his mother-in-law, Mary Lemley; his father-in-law, Gene Lemley; his son, Shawn Brackett; his siblings, Jess Brackett Jr., Jimmy Brackett, Ann Buie, Janice Luster, and Irene Woomer; and his sister-in-law, Nita McCain.
Those surviving Rickie include his beloved wife, Belinda Kay Brackett; his children, Gina Brackett of Wagoner, OK, and Rickey Brackett and his wife, Samantha, of Vinita, OK; his grandchildren, Shawn Mullen, Hayzie Camp, Bryanna Brackett, Chelsie Brackett, Carleigh Brackett, Bailey Brackett, Aurora Brackett, Noah Brackett, Delilah Brackett, Elijah Brackett, Chloe Cole, Wyatt Cole, Hunter Keller, and Wesson Cole; his great-grandchildren, Haven Brackett, Alena Ford, Rickie Mullen, and Christopher Camp-Mullen; his siblings, Gerald Brackett and his wife, Lois, of Porter, OK, Wallace Brackett and his wife, Kathy, of Waurika, OK, and Debbie Mayo of Ft. Gibson, OK; his daughters-in-law, Nevaeh Tarkington and Amanda Cole; and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family, all of whom will miss him dearly.
Rickie will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. His family will forever feel the void left by his passing, as he filled their lives with constant laughter, joy, and unconditional love. His kind spirit, selfless heart, and sense of humor brought comfort and happiness to everyone around him. Though he may be gone, the cherished memories he created will live on in the hearts of his family and friends for years to come.
The family will greet friends at a Visitation on Tuesday, January 13, 2026, from 1-3 pm in the Chapel of Mallett Funeral Home.
A Celebration of Life will be held to honor the life of Rickie Brackett on Wednesday, January 14, 2026, at 10:00 am in the Chapel of Mallett Funeral Home.
