Funeral services for Robert J. Blacky' Jenkins, 78, of Hulbert will be at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 9 at the Mallett Funeral Home Chapel in Wagoner with Elder Larry Walker officiating. Blacky' was born July 13, 1934 in Hulbert, Oklahoma to his parents, Clarence and Eller (Day) Jenkins. He grew up in the Hulbert area and attended Norwood schools. Blacky was a veteran, serving his country in the U.S. Army. A life-long resident of the Hulbert area, he worked as an OTR truck driver until his retirement. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and member of the Trinity Church of God in Christ in Wagoner. Surrounded by his family, Blacky passed away peacefully at home, Friday, Oct. 5. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Viola and by his brothers, J.C. and John Jenkins. He is survived by his wife, Judy of the home; his children, Karen Wilkerson and Shelli Tarkington both of Hulbert, Debra Querio of Michigan, Keith Snyder of Louisiana, William Snyder also of Hulbert, Sarah Snyder of Grove and Richard Snyder of Oklahoma; a sister, Inez Ford of Ft. Gibson; grandchildren, Shi-Anne, Brittney and Waylon Tarkington, Brandon, Sara and Benjamin Spicer, Dylan and Wyatt Shirrel, Staci Simko and Joshua Starr; great-grandchildren, Briar Ingram and Colby, Kayson, Mason and Grayson Spicer; numerous nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends. Pallbearers were Waylon Tarkington Sr., Waylon Tarkington, Tommy Jenkins, Brandon Spicer, William Snyder and Grover Howard. Funeral arrangements and interment in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Hulbert were directed by Mallett Funeral Home of Wagoner.
