Friends and family will gather for a Visitation Monday afternoon from 2:00-4:00 pm at Mallett Funeral Home Chapel for Robert Dale Nichols, 32, who died Friday, November 23, 2018 as the result of an automobile accident.

Robert was born May 15, 1986 to James Steve and Alice Irene (McDonald) Goforth.  He was part of a close knit family of siblings who will greatly miss him. They recall his role as the "peacemaker" in the family. He was a morning person and woke up every day ready to go. His favorite saying was "I got a midget on a Pegasus."

Robert worked hard. He was currently employed by Davenport Welding. A master of many trades, Robert was a master welder, mechanic, licensed electrician and contractor.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents, James and Alice Goforth; a niece, Kylie; a brother, Steven Goforth and a brother-in-law, Gary Lane

He is survived by two daughters, Aaliyah and Nevah Nichols; his fiancé, Andrell Current; sisters and their spouses, Michelle and Nick Baker, Tabitha and Marvin Baker, Alisha and David Ingvalson, Jonie Welsh and David Miller, Tina Londagin, Holly Lane, Nacole Ekerber and Cody Pryor and Rayna Kaiser; two brothers, James Barker and Chad Goforth and Makaliah Powell and their infant son, Elias Goforth; other nephews and nieces; extended family and friends.
