The funeral service for Roberta Jo "Bertie" Yochum will be held at 2:00 pm Friday, November 1, 2019 at the First Baptist Church in Porter, OK. The Reverend Dennis Piearcy will officiate.

Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery in Porter. Pallbearers will be Jackie Todd, Kevin Prichard, Dusty Harris, Timmy Criner, Tommy Criner and Aelfred Allspach.

Friends and family will gather for a visitation on Wednesday evening from 5:00 – 7:00 pm at Mallett Funeral Home in Wagoner.

Roberta Jo "Bertie" Yochum was born May 9, 1940 in Braggs, OK to Joseph James Prichard and Effie Delores (Brown) Prichard. She was raised in Braggs, OK. Bertie married her husband, Billy Carl Yochum, on May 24, 1958 in the First Baptist Church in Porter where she remained a member throughout her life.

For many years Bertie was a barber and beautician in Porter and was well known by many. Later in life she went back to school and earned her bachelor's degree in special education, continuing to study until she quit school to care for her husband. She was just a three hour class away from earning her master's degree. She taught school in Muskogee, Wagoner and in Council Hill, retiring in 2013.

Bertie Yochum departed this life Sunday, October 27, 2019 in Porter, OK at the age of 79 years. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of forty-eight years, Bill Carl Yochum; and her "favorite", and only son-in-law, Robert Littlefield.

Bertie will be greatly missed by her family and friends alike. Survivors include her three children: one daughter, Bradah Littlefield of Porter, OK and two sons, Erin Mark Yochum and Kerry Eugene Yochum, both of Porter, OK; two grandchildren, Chad Robert Littlefield and his wife, Christie, and Whitney Ann Littlefield and her fiancé, Aelfred Allspach; a great-granddaughter, Grace Kelly Littlefied and another great-grandchild due in May; one brother and his wife, Bobby and Barbara Prichard of Braggs, OK; a nephew, Kevin Prichard and wife, Carneca, of Braggs, OK; two nieces, LaDonna Hartin and husband, Andy, of Coweta, OK and Paula Prichard of Braggs, OK; sister-in-law, Jacque Daniel and her husband, Terry of Muskogee, OK and a brother-in-law, Mike Yochum and his wife, Paula, of Porter, OK; other extended family and friends.
