IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Rodney Frank
Holt
February 12, 1967 – May 29, 2025
Rodney Frank Holt was born on February 12, 1967, in Bakersfield, California, to Frank Holt and Wynema (Hulsey) Lee. He grew up in Bakersfield, California, and eventually moved to Wagoner, Oklahoma, making it home for several years.
Rodney was a passionate and talented fisherman, particularly skilled at catching crappie, and he cherished spending time at the lake. An avid sports enthusiast, he enjoyed watching golf, Oklahoma State University Cowboys football, and basketball, reflecting his deep love for sports. He also found joy in caring for his game roosters and cherished moments with his grandchildren, Luke Hayden Crebs, Gracelyn Elise Crebs, and Carson James Lay, who meant the world to him. His lively personality extended to dancing and playing pool, where he was affectionately known as the pool shark, and he had a broad appreciation for all genres of music, making him a well-rounded and beloved individual.
Rodney departed this life on Thursday, May 29, 2025, at Saint Francis Hospital in Muskogee, Oklahoma, at the age of 58 years after a courageous battle with cancer. Preceding him in death are his grandmother, Pearl Hulsey (maw); a daughter, Sarah Logan-Holt; and a brother-in-law, Mike Edwards.
Surviving Rodney and cherishing the many memories of his life include his son, Mark Crebs, and wife, Roxie of Wagoner, OK; mother, Wynema Lee of Bakersfield, CA; grandchildren, Luke Crebs, Gracelyn Crebs, and Carson Lay; his sisters, Dawn Webb and husband, Gary of Bakersfield, CA, Kim Board of Bakersfield, CA, and Robin Edwards of Bakersfield, CA; numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.
Rodney's passing leaves a profound void for all who knew him; however, his family can find solace in knowing that his pain is now alleviated and that his cherished memories will continue to live on through his son and grandchildren, serving as a lasting tribute to his life and legacy.
A Memorial service will be held to Celebrate the Life of Rodney Holt on Saturday, June 14, 2025, at 2:00 pm at Belle Starr Campground in Checotah, Oklahoma.
