Obituary

Ronald Marion McIntosh - devoted husband, father, Papa, and friend of many – passed from this earth on March 7th, 2023 at the age of 82. He lived a long and wonderful life. "Ronnie" was born to Irene and Marion McIntosh on August 28, 1940 in Sapulpa, OK. He attended Sapulpa High School and graduated in 1958. It was there at Sapulpa HS that Ronnie met the love of his life, Donna Hughes. While helping his dad build a house in the spring of 1956, Ronnie snuck up to the attic and professed his love for Donna by carving their names on a rafter. Soon after graduating high school, they married on July 25, 1959. They shared 57 years of life together. After serving four years in the Air Force, Ronnie graduated from the University of Tulsa in 1971. During that time, he and Donna welcomed two baby girls, Tanya and Tresa. He then went on to work and retire as an electrical engineer. His life was full of heartwarming moments of time spent with family and friends. He built several homes, and he was always willing to build anything Donna, his children, or grandchildren dreamed of wanting. He was an incredibly hard worker. "Papa" especially loved spending time with his grandchildren. He was loved by all who knew him. Most people even called him Papa- as if he were their own. Ronnie was preceded in death by his parents, Irene and Marion and his loving wife, Donna.  Ronnie is survived by his two daughters, Tanya Smylie and husband Jim of Canyon Lake, TX and Tresa Pitre and husband Clint of Wagoner, OK. He will be forever cherished and remembered by his beloved grandchildren, Callie Lambdin and husband Kennan of Wagoner, OK, Nicholas Pitre and fiancé Courtlyn Stout of Wagoner, OK, and Tucker Smylie of Dallas, TX. Ronnie is also survived by his brother, Gary McIntosh of Sapulpa, OK. He will be remembered by many other family members, dear friends, and all the other lives he touched during his time on earth. The family will hold a private service.
