The graveside funeral service for Ronald Lester VanHorn, 76, will be at 2:00 pm Wednesday, September 25, 2019 in Ray Cemetery, Sequoyah State Park, Cherokee County, Oklahoma. Officiating will be Anita Shipman.

Ronald Lester VanHorn was born February 8, 1943 in Hermiston, Oregon, one of seven children born to Wilbur Tucker and Rosa Alice (Brumfield) Copple. He graduated from Pryor, OK High School in 1961. The family moved to Wagoner in 1957, and Ronald made his home here since then. Many will remember his working as a mechanic for Stacy Motor Company for twenty-seven years.

In his spare time Ronald liked to stay busy. He enjoyed woodworking, fishing and building bicycles.

His family will always remember how he was willing to help anyone who needed it in any way he could.

Ronald departed this life Sunday, September 22, 2019 at his home in Yorkshire Village in Wagoner, OK at the age of 76 years. He was preceded in death by his parents, Wilbur Tucker and Rosa Copple and two sisters, Mary Alice Murphy and Sarah Jane Robinson.

He is survived by one sister, Barbara Rogers and husband, Rusty of Wagoner, OK; three brothers, Daniel Robert VanHorn and wife, Dorothy Sue of Locust Grove, OK, William Wilber "Bill" Tucker of Wagoner, OK and Timothy Denton VanHorn Sr., and wife, Carrie of Wagoner, OK; numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and great-great; other family and many friends.
