Rosemary Ayorkor Acquaye was born April 19, 1954 in Accra, Ghana to the late Okoe Laryea and Madam Kate Laryea. Along with her brother, Adjei Okoe Laryea, and sisters, Cecilia Okoe Laryea and Grce Okoe Laryea, Rosemary was raised in Accra, where she attended the Government Girls School, Adonte Secondary School and the Commercial School. After moving to Oklahoma she attended Vo-Tech in Muskogee and earned her C.N.A. She was employed at the Wagoner Walmart for the past eighteen years. Rosemary departed this life on April 16, 2013 in Wagoner, Oklahoma, just three days before her 59th birthday. Rosemary and her husband, Aaron's, marriage of twenty-six years was blessed with two children, John B. Acquaye and Marketta Acquaye, her step-daughter, and by four grandchildren. Rosemary loved people so much that, when you didn't speak to her, she would ask if there was a problem. She was a kind and generous woman, and she always created laughter around her. One of her favorite scripture verses is in the book of Psalm 91:1: He that dwelleth in the Secret place of the most high shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. The family will be present for a Visitation from 5-7 p.m. Friday at Mallett Funeral Home in Wagoner.
