Obituary

Rosetta Mae Nealey was born July 4, 1926 in Wagoner County, Oklahoma. She was a lifelong Wagoner area resident. Affectionately known as "Grandma Mae" to countless family and friends alike, she will always be remembered as a nurturing sole who would help and always feed everyone she was around. Mae was a longtime member of the Assembly of God Church and was a nursery worker in the church for many years. Before retirement she worked as a cook in nursing homes.

Mae Nealey departed this life early Wednesday, April 6, 2016 in Wagoner, Oklahoma at 89 years of age. She was preceded in death by her father and her mother, Minnie (Dorr) Haywood; her beloved grandmother, "Big Granny" Surana Dorr; her husbands, Jess Nealey and Alvin Wiley; one son, Mike Wiley; a baby brother; three daughters-in-law, Frances Wiley, Sandy Wiley, and Pat Horton.

Four generations survive her. She will be greatly missed by her children and their spouses: Donnie and Nora Wiley of Tecumseh, OK, Johnnie "Red" and Sandy Wiley of Morris, OK, Elaine Ledesma of Wagoner, OK, Roger and Judy Wiley of Wagoner, Larry and Shelley Nealey of Wagoner, and Glen and Renee Murphy of Wagoner; her grandchildren: Surana Hallum, Christy Harris, Carrie Stanley, Shelley Wiley, Stevie Wiley, Johnnie Wiley, Shane Sampson, Nikki Wiley, Crystal Horton, Ben Wiley, Marjean Wiley, Deanna Carey, Deena Wiley, Eddie Wiley, Thomas Applegate, Patrick McGowen, David Hammons, Kim Clark, Justin Wiley, Jesse Wiley, Chris Weaver, Samantha Weaver, Sarah Dekker, Jessica Badley, Maegan Murphy, Ryane Murphy, Davey Wiley, and Gary Ousley; and a host of great and great-great-grandchildren; Mae is also survived by a sister, Doris Charbonneau of Florida; other relatives; and friends.

The family and friends will gather at a Visitation from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Friday evening at Mallett Funeral Home and Crematory in Wagoner, OK.

The Funeral Service celebrating a life well lived will be at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, April 9, 2016 at Mallett Funeral Chapel in Wagoner. The Reverend Lisa Sowers will officiate.

Interment will be in Pioneer Cemetery in Wagoner. Committal services will be led by Wesley Thomason. Pallbearers will be Phillip Carey, Jerry Charbonneau, Dennis Dorr, Mike Miles, Gary Ousley, Shane Sampson, and Davey Wiley.
