Roy was born in Wagoner, OK on June 5, 1943 to Elsie (Rodriguez) and James Mack Clardy and lived in Wagoner all his life. He graduated in the Wagoner High School class of 1964 and was very proud that he was a member of the WHS band while in school. He worked many years at the Wagoner Wal-Mart before his retirement. In his younger years he enjoyed riding horses and fishing. He worked in his dad's automotive repair shop when younger. In recent years Roy's favorite pastime was watching cowboy movies. He could be seen walking from his residence to town each day, and he never met a stranger. He was willing to help anyone, and his friendly smile will be missed. Roy's mother and father preceded him in death. He is survived by two aunts, Josephine Rodriguez Riggs and Nalma Rodriguez Stirling, as well as many cousins. The family would like to acknowledge his good friend Ted for his constant friendship with Roy. Donations in lieu of flowers can be made to the Heart Association or the Cancer Society. Viewing will begin Tuesday, December 30.
