RUBY LUCILLE HACKWORTH Graveside funeral services for Ruby Lucille Hackworth, 87, of Sugar Land, Texas will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, December 10, 2011 in Elmwood Cemetery, in Wagoner with the Reverend Rod Harris officiating. Lucille was born September 10, 1924 in Elk City, Oklahoma to her parents, Roy and Myrtle (Herndon) Dodson. She grew up and graduated from high school there before making her way to Salem, Oregon. She was united in marriage to Lloyd Hackworth on May 12, 1948 in Colorado. They returned to Oklahoma in 1961, where Lucille worked for several years as an office manager in their machine shop in Tulsa. After working in the Utica Bank in Tulsa, she retired to Northwest Arkansas area to be closer to family. Lucille was a devoted Christian and member of the First Baptist Church in Pea Ridge, Arkansas. She loved to sew, knit Afghans and quilt. She was a wonderful mother and grandmother. Lucille moved to Sugar Land, Texas in 2004 to be near her daughter and family. She passed away, Monday, December 5, 2011 in Sugarland. Lucille was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Lloyd in 1981 and by her four sisters and two brothers. She is survived by her son, Jim Hackworth and his wife, Lee Ann of Dixon, Missouri; her daughter, Nancy Salzman an her husband, David of Sugar Land, Texas; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends. Funeral arrangements and interment in Elmwood Cemetery in Wagoner are being directed by Mallett Funeral Home of Wagoner.
