Russell Dale "Rusty" Fulps was born May 18, 1961 in Tulsa, OK to J. D. and Rosemary "Pat" (Coffelt) Fulps. He grew up in Broken Arrow and played baseball at Crowder and OBU before completing his Bachelor's degree at Northeastern. Baseball was Rusty's passion, and he enjoyed coaching a long time; his kids and players meant the world to him. He coached both his boys' youth football and baseball teams. He was the American Legion baseball coach for 22 years. He worked with the World of Wrestling for almost 20 years. Rusty was also an avid Oklahoma Sooner and Yankees fan and enjoyed bass fishing and watching NASCAR.

He departed this life June 18, 2017 at his home in Muskogee, OK. Preceding him in death was his special friend, Rande Humphries.

Survivors include his parents, J D and Pat Fulps of Wagoner; two sons, Lafe Fulps of Muskogee and Logan Fulps of Wagoner; a daughter, Landyn Fulps of Wagoner; the mother of his children, Shawn Littlefield of Wagoner; a sister, LeAnn Jones and husband, Bobby, of Wagoner and their children, Buck Shaw, Billy Jones and Sarah Jones, all of Wagoner; numerous other family and friends.

A Visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 PM Wednesday evening at Mallett Funeral Home and Crematory.

The Funeral service will be at 2:00 PM Thursday at the First Assembly of God in Wagoner. Officiating will be Pastor Gary Woodson.

Interment will be in Bennett Addition of Elmwood Cemetery in Wagoner. Pallbearers are Perry Keith, Nick Humphries, Chad Clark, Jack Roller, Mike Merrifield and Pat McGrew. Honorary pallbearers are Rande Humphries, Curtis Stephens, Mike Witten, Shane Roller, Doug Baker, Don Wes Yates, Shelly Sperling and Bill Kennedy.
