The funeral service for Ruth Pauline Ross, 85, of Wagoner, will be at 2 PM Saturday, May 9, 2009, at the Abundant Life Center. The Reverend Roger Huff and the Reverend Willie Rice will officiate. Ruth was born January 5, 1924 in Fairview, OK to Leonard C. and Bessie (Crane) Bocock. She and her husband, Henry, made their home and raised their family in Wagoner. She was a member of the Abundant Life Pentacostal Holiness Church. Ruth was employed as a nurse aide in hospital and nursing home care and worked as a nursing home inspector. She worked in day care following retirement and greatly enjoyed foster parenting. Ruth Ross departed this life on Wednesday, May 6, 2009 in Wagoner. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Henry Richard Ross, two granddaughters, Melissa Evelyn Ross and Julie Anne Garrison, and two brothers, Jim and Fred Bocock. Survivors include her two sons, Jay D. Ross and his wife, Mary, of Okay, OK and Ronald Ross and his wife, Margie, of Wagoner; two daughters, Wanda Willhite and her husband, Dee, of Wagoner and Bessie Cox and her husband, Leon, of Whitesboro, TX; her grandchildren and their spouses, Dr Jay Ross and his wife, Dr. Holly Holland, Jeremy Ross, M.D., Jeff Ross, O.D., Joey and Nicole Ross, Nicholas Paul and Jill Ross, Mary Lynn Ross, Charlie and Karla Rice, Rebecca Walsh, Laurie and Mark Pliska and Staff Sgt. David and Cassie Cox; her great grandchildren, Jay(Jake) and Jaci Ross, Autumn, Alex and Nolan Ross, Braxton, Hannah, Bryson and Brooklyn Ross, Miranda, Cameron and Christian Rice, Leah, Landon and Logan Garrison, Dylan and David Wise, Gage, Gunner and Gabby Pliski and Emmarae and Kylie Cox; other relatives and friends. Interment will be in Elmwood Cemetery in Wagoner. Pallbearers will be Mike Cagle, Darrell Watkins, Jimmy Cagle, Louis Sowers, J.W. Barry, Lindal Hughes and Kelly Grooms.
