Sandra Maureen Asher, 55, formerly of Wagoner, passed away Saturday, March 17, 2012 at her home in McAlester, Oklahoma. She was born in Rome, New York, on March 14, 1957 to Carlton and Maureen (Jarvis) Brown. Sandra grew up in New York and attended school there before meeting and later marrying Robert Asher while he was serving in the U.S. Air Force. They moved to Oklahoma in the 1070's, and Sandra devoted her time to being a homemaker for her family and enjoyed preparing Italian dishes for her family and friends. She liked country and western music, but her greatest joy in later years came from time spent with her grandchildren. Sandra was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Linda Brown and her brothers, Terry and Leon. She is survived by two daughters, Tammy Moore and her husband, Bo Weeden, of Muskogee and Sharon Kelly and her husband, Patrick, of Pearl River, Louisiana; her grandchildren, Harley Moore, Emily Guinn, Teri Asher, Carlton Harper and Keith and Tyler Weeden; four brothers, Dennis, Bobby, Leon and Dickie Brown, and one sister, Patricia Brown; numerous nieces and nephews; other relatives and many friends. Private memorial services will be planned at a later date. Final arrangements were provided by Mallett Funeral Home in Wagoner.
