The funeral service for Sarah Louise Pohl will be at 2:00 pm Friday, August 23, 2019 in the Chapel at Mallett Funeral Home and Crematory, 417 East Cherokee Street, Wagoner, OK. The Reverend Lisa Sowers will officiate. The family suggests casual attire, especially anything tie dyed or the color red.

Family and friends will gather at a visitation on Thursday evening from 5:00 - 7:00 pm.

Interment will be in Pioneer Cemetery, Wagoner, OK. Pallbearers will be Brent Barnes, Gary Andrews and Brady Cole.

Sarah Louise Pohl was born May 10, 1962 in Tulsa, OK to Talmage Lee Hendrix and Nina Sue (Burkhead) Hendrix. She had made her home in Wagoner, OK for the past thirty years.

Sarah was part of the family of associates at Community Hospital for twenty years. She was employed as a medical coder. Prior to that she was employed at Target and Hilti.

Sarah was known as "Mama Pohl" in the world of youth sports. Her greatest joy was being with her grandchildren and watching them and her nieces and nephews play soccer, football or softball. In earlier years she adored going fishing with her father.

Sarah departed this life August 18, 2019 in Wagoner, Oklahoma at the age of 57 years. She was preceded in death by her father, Talmage Hendrix; her brother-in-law, Roger Cole and a niece, Susie.

She is survived by her two daughters, Samantha Cairns and her husband, Dustin, and Nina Rivera, all of Wagoner, OK; her mother, Nina Sue Hendrix; three grandchildren, Emma, Jason and ShayLee; three sisters and their spouses, Linda and Frank Davenport of Broken Arrow, OK, Pam and Robert Welsh and Anne Cole, all of Wagoner, OK; a brother, Al Hendrix of Tulsa, OK; numerous nieces and nephews; other extended family and friends.
