Broken Arrow

Sarah Marie (Bunke) Williams was born on June 20, 1982, in Lockport, New York, to George Carl Bunke and Deborah Marie (Hansen) Saladino. She was a woman whose life was defined by love for her family, her students, and everyone blessed to know her.

Sarah grew up in Gasport, NY, and attended Royalton Hartland High School in Gasport, NY, until she moved to Broken Arrow, OK, where she graduated from Broken Arrow High School. She later earned her Early Childhood Teaching Certificate, which reflected her natural calling to nurture and guide young hearts. At Ablaze Christian Academy, Sarah was more than a caregiver to the children in her classroom. She was a steady presence, a gentle encourager, and a source of comfort. She loved the children dearly, and their parents were well aware of the genuine care and devotion she showed each day.

On June 7, 2003, Sarah married the love of her life, Scotty Lee Williams. Together, they built a beautiful life and shared 23 years of marriage filled with devotion, laughter, and treasured memories. Their love was strong, faithful, and enduring.

Sarah was caring and compassionate and loved wholeheartedly. Her family was her greatest joy and proudest accomplishment. She cherished camping, fishing, and hiking with her family, making lasting memories in the outdoors that she loved so much. She loved her family fiercely and poured her heart into every moment spent together.

She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Herman and Doris Bunke; her maternal grandparents, Donald and Eleanor Hansen; her brother, Daniel Joseph Bunke; her uncle, James Bunke; and her mother-in-law, Patsy Carroll.

Sarah leaves behind a legacy of love that will continue through her devoted husband, Scotty Williams of the home; her beloved children, Hunter Williams and Chloe Williams; her father, George Bunke and wife, Barbara of Farmington, New Mexico; her mother, Deborah Saladino and husband, Michael of Tucson, Arizona; her nieces, Desiree Bunke and Kaylee Bunke; her nephew, Gage Bunke; her great nephew, Grayson Bunke Wheat; as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family members, and dear friends who will miss her deeply.

Though her time here was far too short, the love Sarah gave so freely will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
