Funeral services for Shirley LaVonne Green, 77, of Hulbert will be held at 1:00 p.m., Friday Oct. 5 in the Mallett Funeral Home Chapel with the Reverend Jason Baldwin officiating. Shirley was born Dec. 24, 1934 in Princeton, West Virginia to her parents, Walter and Adele (Channing) Reece. She lived her early life in West Virginia, graduating high school there before moving to Oklahoma in 1968. Along with being a wonderful homemaker, Shirley also worked as a medical aide in area nursing homes. She moved to South Carolina to care for her mother, and then settled in Wagoner to be close to family which she believed to be the most important and greatest enjoyment of her life. Shirley passed away Friday, Sept. 28 at her home near Hulbert. Shirley was preceded in death by her parents and by her daughter, Tina Reddick in March of 2012. She is survived by her children, Ramona Josey of the home, Daniel Ray Bowman of Maryland, Celia Hill of Tulsa, Toni Medrano of Mississippi and Tracy Bowman of Texas; her husband, Tom Green of Owasso; eight grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; a brother, Tony Auricchio of South Carolina; two sisters, Suzie Spinato of Las Vegas and Cecilia McClendon of California; other relatives and friends. Pallbearers will be Nick Shaw, Jason Baldwin, Paul Medrano, Daniel Ray Bowman, Steve Josey and Lance Kight. Funeral arrangements and interment in Pioneer Cemetery in Wagoner are directed by Mallett Funeral Home of Wagoner.
