Graveside funeral services for Shirley June Knight, 72, will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, March 5 in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery near Hulbert, Oklahoma. Shirley was born October 4, 1940 in Hulbert to her parents, Claude and Dora (Parnell) Walker. She grew up in the area and attended school in Hulbert. Shirley was united in marriage to Clyde Harold Knight, a union lasting until his passing in May, 2010. She was a wonderful homemaker and in her earlier years enjoyed dancing. Her greatest joy came from spending time with family and especially her grandchildren. She passed away Saturday, March 2, 2013 at St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa. Shirley was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Clyde H. Knight; her sister, Jessie McKeehan and a daughter, Dana Beard. She is survived by her son, Rick Knight and wife, Misty of Tulsa, OK; two daughters, Vicki Puckett and husband, Jim of Catoosa and Sharon McDougal and husband, Rafe of Tulsa; a sister, Georgia Deatherage and husband, John of Tahlequah; five grandchildren, Danny Brown, Makenzie Butler, Mirakle Knight, Bailey Jones and Morgan Knight; numerous nieces and hephews, other relatives and friends. Funeral arrangements and interment in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Hulbert are directed by Mallett Funeral Home of Wagoner.
