The funeral service for Specialist Joshua Michael Seals, 21, of Porter, Oklahoma, will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, August 27, 2011 at the Porter Consolidated School Multi-Purpose Facility in Porter, OK. The Reverend Bobby Jenkins and the Reverend Ronnie Brown will officiate. The Fort Sill, Oklahoma Honor Guard will provide Military Honors and serve as Pallbearers. Honorary Pallbearers will be James Seals, Bryan Friend, David Hearn, Nilson Brown, Darrell Hale, Marcus Lumley, and Flint Davis. Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery in Porter. Specialist Seals will arrive at the National Guard Airfield, Tulsa International Airport, on Thursday around noon and be taken to Mallett Funeral Home in Wagoner. He will be escorted throughout by his Honor Guard, as well as the Patriot Guard Riders, The Rolling Thunder 1 Riders and law enforcement from several local and state agencies. Joshua was born April 10, 1990 in Glendale, AZ to Rhonda (McComb) and Stanley Seals. A 2008 graduate of Porter High School, Joshua was active in Wagoner County 4-H and showed Dutch rabbits. He played football in high school and basketball when younger. Joshua was an honor roll student and a member of the academic team. He studied computers in vo-tech. Josh's family and traditions were of upmost importance to him. At the time of his death on Tuesday, August 16, 2011, in Paktika Province, Afghanistan, Joshua was in active service with Fox Trot Company, 700th Support Battalion, 45th Infantry Brigade Combat Team of the Oklahoma Army National Guard. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, M. L. Seals and great-grandparents, Oscar and Ollie Seals. Joshua is survived by his parents, Stanley and Rhonda Seals of Porter, wife, Andrina Nicole Seals, brothers, Specialist James Seals and his wife, DohLee, of Fort Drum, New York and Jeremy Seals and his fiancé, Liz; his sister, Sarah Seals, paternal grandmother, Billie Jo Seals, all of Porter; maternal grandparents, Robert and Dorothy Hoehner of Phoenix, AZ; aunts and uncles, Kim and Scott Cook, Preston Seals, Joe and Carmel Seals, Rex McComb and Rocky and Lorrie McComb; special friend, Sarah Scott, and her children, Kaylee and Skylar Scott; numerous cousins, other relatives and many other friends.
