Steven Ray Stephens was born January 13, 1957 in Pryor, Oklahoma to Edd Marvin and Lois Frances (Copeland) Stephens. He entered the United States Marine Corps soon after high school and served honorably with recognition as a rifle sharpshooter and pistol marksman.

Steven was a welder by profession, working in both the construction and manufacturing industries. He enjoyed and continued to study for many years. Besides learning to be a machinist he earned associate degrees in Industrial Management and Blueprint Interpretation from Okmulgee Tech.

In his spare time Steven enjoyed fishing, country music and motorcycles.

Steven departed this life Friday evening, August 6, 2021 in Muskogee, OK at the age of 64 years. He was preceded in death by his parents, Edd and Lois Stephens. At the time of his death he made his home in Wagoner, Oklahoma.

Survivors include his three brothers: Harold Dean Stephens of Inola, Oklahoma, David Leslie Stephens and his wife, Linda of Chouteau, Oklahoma and Dennis Stephens and his wife, Vickie of Pryor, Oklahoma; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins and other extended family and friends.

A graveside funeral service will be held at 10 am Thursday, August 12, 2021 in Vernon Cemetery in Coweta, OK. The Reverend Mark Pointer will officiate.
