Obituary

Susie's life will be celebrated at her graveside funeral service at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, December 21, 2021 in Elmwood Cemetery, 9th and Parkinson, in Wagoner, OK.

Viewing will begin Monday  9 am - 7 pm. The friends and family will gather for a visitation from 5-7 pm.

Susie's request was that, in lieu of flowers, memorial donations be made to the Project Elf of Tulsa. This nonprofit organization benefiting school children in need of basics was dear to Susie's heart, and she volunteered her time there. The address is Project Elf, 7107 South Yale, Number 123, Tulsa, OK 74136; the website is www.projectelf.org .

Susan Elaine "Susie" Sullivan was born March 15, 1961 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Robert Lee Sullivan Sr. and Sara LaNelle (Harp) Sullivan. Susie made her home in Broken Arrow, OK. She was previously employed at the Zebco, TJC and St. Simeons Nursing Home.

Susie was a woman who generously shared her talents with other people. She was particularly interested in any project that would help children. She was a dedicated volunteer at Project Elf in Tulsa. During her time as helper with Happy Hands in Tulsa Susie learned sign language so she could communicate with students with hearing difficulties.

She was especially talented in special crafts. This gift was expressed by her fashioning a complete Christmas scene that won 1 st place at the Tulsa State Fair. Susie was always crocheting a baby blanket for anyone she knew who was expecting a baby.

Susie was a member of Highland Park Christian Church. She volunteered in the nursery and helped with vacation Bible school. Each year for VBS she made something that followed that year's theme for each of the children attending to take home with them.

Her life's work made a positive and lasting difference in so many lives. Susie's loving spirit and open heart will always be remembered by those who knew her.

Susie departed this life Wednesday, December 15, 2021 in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma at the age of 60 years. She was preceded in death by her mother, Sara Sullivan; paternal grandparents, Gertrude and Franklin Sullivan; maternal grandparents, Ester Mae and Jack Harp; uncles, William Frank Sullivan, Duane Harp and Jim Horn.
