Tammy Lynn (Cook) Baker was born on October 16, 1964, to William Jack Cook and Ruby Ann (Hall) Forester, in Gainsville, Georgia. Following her high school graduation, she continued her studies. She pursued a career in healthcare, steadily increasing her qualifications and responsibilities. She began as a phlebotomist, moved on to become a certified nurse's aide, and ultimately achieved the status of a Licensed Practical Nurse, demonstrating a clear path of professional development in the medical field.
Tammy was a woman of diverse interests and passions, finding joy in creative pursuits and quality time with loved ones. Her hobbies included sewing, quilting, knitting, listening to music, and camping, showcasing her appreciation for hands-on activities and the outdoors. She also cherished playing games and doing crafts with her grandchildren, highlighting her nurturing and playful side. Lastly, her love for shoes suggests a fondness for personal style.
Tammy departed this life on Friday, February 14, 2025, at Saint Francis Hospital, in Muskogee, Oklahoma, at the age of 60 years. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jack Cook and Ruby Forester; sisters, Debbie Kroll, Jackie Smith, and Marilyn Green; and a grandson Scott Daren Baker II.
Those left to cherish so many fond memories of her life include her children, Steve Baker and wife, Donna of Wagoner, OK, Scott Darin Baker and wife, Dalania of Wagoner, OK, Sean Baker and wife, Amber of Wagoner, OK, and Shaely Ferrell and husband, David of Hulbert, OK; 12 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; brother, Robert L Cook; and sister, Tina Goldman and husband, Derrick of Sand Springs, OK; along with numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family who will miss her greatly.
The loss of Tammy is a poignant reminder of her unwavering dedication and kindness towards others. Her unrelenting spunk and infectious enthusiasm left a lasting impact on all who had the privilege of knowing her.
A Memorial Service, honoring the life of Tammy Baker will be held on Friday, February 21, 2025, at 2:30 pm, at the Wagoner Masonic Lodge, Wagoner, Oklahoma
