Teddie Sue (Wright) Owens was born May 16, 1947 in Tahlequah, Oklahoma to Ted and Susie (Terrell) Wright. A lifelong resident of Wagoner, Teddie attended Wagoner schools. On May 25, 1964 she married her husband of 45 years, Kenneth P. Owens. Teddie and Kenneth shared their wedding anniversary with their son and daughter, who both married their spouses on the same wedding date. She enjoyed sewing, and Teddie's family will always remember how Teddie really loved Christmas. Teddie Sue Owens departed this life on Monday, August 31, 2009 at her home in Wagoner, three months and 15 days past her sixty-second birthday. She was preceded in death by both of her parents. Survivors include her husband, Kenneth P. Owens of the home; a daughter and son-in-law, Yolanda and Tracy Hilton; a son and daughter-in-law, Dwight and Jennie Owens; grand-children, John Eric Huggins, Jeremy Owens, Brittany Owens and Whitnie Owens; step grand-children, John Hilton and Shandy Hilton, all of Wagoner; sisters, Winna Mae Brown and Tommie Faye Davis; sisters-in-law, Imogene Larch and Kathran Tibbs; numerous nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends. The funeral service will be at 10 AM Thursday, September 3, 2009 at Mallett Funeral Home Chapel in Wagoner. The Reverend Carl Murphy will officiate. Pallbearers will be Eric Huggins, Jeremy Owens, Tracy Hilton, Terry Berna, Ray Tibbs, Ab Nicholas and Bill Sullivan. Interment will be in Elmwood Cemetery in Wagoner.
