Funeral services for Thomas William Bradley, 84, of Muskogee will be held at 12:p.m., Friday, Feb. 14, 2014 at the Mallett Funeral Home Chapel in Wagoner. Thomas was born May 7, 1929 in Milton, OK to William G. and Helen Maude (Cochran) Bradley. He grew up and attended school in the Westville, OK area before enlisting in the U.S. Army, serving in World War II and the Korean War. He was married to the former Emma E. Rigdon, a union lasting 43 years until her death 1997. He lived and worked in California most of his life, beginning work in a dairy from where he was recruited to work for Howard Hughes at Hughes Aircraft. As an aircraft mechanic Thomas also worked on the first Tom Cat' fighter aircraft. After retirement in1989, Thomas and his family returned to Oklahoma and settled in the Ft. Gibson and Muskogee areas where he spent his later years enjoying woodworking and fishing. Tom passed away peacefully at his home, Sunday, Feb. 9, 2014. He was preceded in death by his parents; all ten of his siblings; his wife, Emma Bradley and his son, Thomas Bradley Jr. He is survived by his children, Teresa Valez and husband, David of Canoga Park, CA, Karen Bradley and Robert Hooker of Cookson, OK, Janet Bradley of Reseda, CA, Helen Johnson and husband, Ken of Muskogee, Mitchell Bradley and wife, Unawha of Barstow, CA and Harold Bradley of Muskogee. He also leaves seven grandchildren, Jennifer Haigler, David Valez, Cheryl Knollman, Sarah Johnson and Diana and Bryan Bradley; six great-grandchildren, Andrew, Paige, Reanna, Kristen, Bradley, Raymond and Derrick; numerous nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends. Pallbearers are Jerry Conner, Zach Conner, Brian Bradley, Keith Bradley, Alan Rainbolt and Andrew Willis. Interment will be in Ft. Gibson, Oklahoma in the Citizen's Cemetery at 3 p.m.
