Thomas F. "Tommy" Stamps was born April 8, 1931 in Pryor, Oklahoma to Edward and Agnes (Blake) Stamps. He graduated from Chouteau High School. On December 20, 1952 he married the former LaNora Faye "Nora" Hill. They were blessed with four sons, Tommy, Rusty, Randy and Jay.

Thomas was employed for many years in sales and delivery of propane gas, retiring from AmeriGas. His heart was always happiest when he was working with animals. The family recall that throughout the years he owned all types of animals that could be kept on a farm. Thomas loved raising cattle and horses and never wanted to miss a rodeo or livestock show. He liked shopping too, especially at the farm stores.

Tommy departed this life Saturday, September 17, 2022 at the age of 91 years. He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Agnes Stamps; his wife of 45 years, Nora Stamps; a grandson, Justin Stamps and all of his siblings.

Left to cherish his memory are his four sons, Tommy Dale Stamps and Kathy of Inola, OK, Rusty Stamps and Kelley of Broken Arrow, OK, Randy Stamps and Tina of Wagoner, OK and Jay Stamps and Carrie of Wagoner, OK; grandchildren, Brian Dale Stamps, Justin Edward Stamps, Kevin Dewayne Stamps, Amy Cook, Mindy Barton, Whitney Stamps, Christy Justice, Ronnie Stamps, Amber Stamps, Brandon Stamps and Jason Stamps; numerous great-grandchildren; other extended family and friends.

A Visitation will be held Wednesday from 5-7 pm, with viewing beginning at 10 am.

The funeral service celebrating a life well lived will be at 10:30 am Thursday in the Chapel at Mallett Funeral Home in Wagoner.

Interment will be in Elmwood Cemetery where Thomas will be laid to rest beside his wife, Nora.

Pallbearers will be grandsons, Brian Dale Stamps, Justin Edward Stamps, Kevin Dewayne Stamps, Ronnie Stamps, Brandon Stamps and Jason Stamps and great-grandsons, Danny Stamps, Steven Stamps, Kai Stamps, Dalton Stamps, Grady Stamps, Kyle Stamps, Maverick Hall, Wyatt Stamps, Eli Stamps, Connor Stamps, Bryan, Ryker Cook and Hayden Justice. Honorary pallbearers will be granddaughters, Amy Cook, Mindy Barton, Whitney Stamps, Christy Justice and Amber Stamps and great-granddaughters, Vivvianne Stamps, Abby Stamps, Shelby Stamps, Zadie Cook, Kylan Barton, Alaura Stamps, Jocie Stamps, Cadee Stamps, Emiline Faye Stamps, Skyla, Emberliegh Justice, Harmony Cochran, and Hope Cochran.
