Obituary

Friends and family will gather Sunday from 3:00 to 5:00 pm for a Visitation and Viewing for Tommy Lee Tedder at Mallett Funeral Home and Crematory, 417 East Cherokee Street, Wagoner, OK.

The funeral service to celebrate the life of Tommy will be at 1:00 pm Monday, September 23, 2019 at the Mount Bethel Baptist Church, 9011 North 60th Street West, Porter, OK. Officiating will be the Reverend Hank McVay.

Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery in Porter, OK. Pallbearers will be Jaden Gordon, Michael Gordon, Garrett Todd, Robbie Peet, Dusty Todd, Christian Replogle, Cash Robinson and Aven Goodlin. Honorary Pallbearers will be Scott Tedder, Jamie Hill, Joe Seals, Bill Tedder, John Tedder, Bill Larimer, John Larimer, Jeremy Langston and Cortez Boadnax. Flower Girls will be Keisha Currin, Kaci Todd, Danielle Carson and Anna Green.

Family will gather with friends after the service at the Porter Civic Center.

Tommy 'Papa Tom' Tedder, 71, of Porter, Oklahoma passed away on Sept. 16, 2019 at home surrounded by family. Tommy was born on December 8, 1947 in Ft. Gibson, Oklahoma to Charlie Tedder and Cleta (Adams) Tedder.

On January 6, 1975 Tom married Sheila Larimer of Camden Point in Platte City, Mo. Sheila passed away March, 8, 2010 after thirty-five years of marriage.

Tom was in the United States Army and served during the Vietnam War, Tom retired from Oklahoma DOT and was a volunteer firefighter for the Tallahassee fire department for many years.

'Papa Tom', as  many called him, was a loving father and friend to many. He loved for everyone to gather at his home and always made them feel welcome.

The surviving family include daughter; Tommie Tedder Gordon and daughter; Dallas Tedder; grandsons, Jaden Gordon, and Michael Gordon; sister; Linda (Tedder) Holmes and her husband, Dennis; niece, Dana Todd and her boyfriend, Keith Morgan; great nephew, Dusty Todd and his wife, Emily, and their 4 children, Sutton, McKenna, Grayson and Kourtni.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his stepdad, Billie Guiles; his wife, Sheila (Larimer) Tedder; brother, Henry Guiles and sister, Joyce Brazee; two nephews, Dale Holmes and Billy Killingsworth and Niece Heather Brazee.
