Travis Winn Appleton, 65, departed this life Wednesday, February 24, 2016, with his family by his side at his home in Wagoner, OK. Travis was born February 22, 1951 in Fairfax, OK to Doc and Dessie (Russell) Appleton. For a time Travis raised horses, and he most recently had worked as a carpenter framing houses for the housing industry. His favorite activities were anything that included his grandchildren, whether taking them fishing or watching them play football. He liked to be outside and enjoyed working on cars. Travis was a regular for morning coffee at Glen's in Wagoner and will be missed greatly by friends and family alike.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Doc and Dessie Appleton; a brother, Lloyd Appleton, and two uncles, Sonny Appleton and Donnie Appleton.

His loving family who survive him include his wife, Connie Appleton of the home; a son and daughter-in-law, Kirk and Michelle Appleton of Wagoner; grandchildren, Trent, Brent, and Gatlyn Appleton of Wagoner; two sisters, Brenda Appleton of Texas and Sandra Crawford and her husband, Larry, of Arkansas; a brother, Buster Appleton and his wife, Pat, of Wagoner; an uncle, Richard Appleton and his wife, Betty, of Wagoner; a nephew, Jason Appleton; nieces, Shannon, Chelsea, and Brianna Appleton; numerous other relatives and friends.

Cremation arrangements are by Mallett Funeral Home and Crematory.

Memorial Service for Travis Appleton will be Thursday, March 3rd at 4pm
First Assembly of God Church, 1998 W Hwy 51, Wagoner,OK.
