Valerie Angela (Blanket) Jenkins was born on June 9, 1959 to Shirley Blanket and Louis Warren Wing. She was a homemaker, but did work at the Dairy Bar in Hulbert and at a dry cleaner in Tahlequah.

Valerie enjoyed crafting, including making flower arrangements. She also loved gardening and working with her plants. More than anything, she loved her grandbabies, they were her whole world.

She departed this life on Monday, March 30, 2020 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister-in-law, Teena Blanket.

Valerie leaves behind to cherish her memory her son and daughter-in-law, Christopher and Kacee Jenkins of Hulbert, Oklahoma; a daughter and son-in-law, Lindsey and Brandon Kilpatrick of Hulbert, Oklahoma; grandchildren, Weston, Colton, and Jase Jenkins and Braxton and Lexi Kilpatrick; a brother, Titus Blanket; other relatives and friends.

The viewing for Valerie will be on Wednesday, April 1, 2020 from 11 a.m. – 7 p.m.

The graveside service celebrating her life will be held on Thursday, April 2, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. at New Hope Cemetery in Hulbert, Oklahoma. Pastor Jerry Henson will be officiating. Pallbearers will be Chris Jenkins, Brandon Kilpatrick, Titus Blanket, Johnny Jackson, Fabian Keener, Stan Shade, Sid Whitekiller, and Eli Peters. Valerie's grandchildren, Weston Jenkins, Braxton Kilpatrick, Colton Jenkins,  Lexi Kilpatrick, and Jase Jenkins will be serving as honorary pallbearers.
