Velma Ruth (Davis) West passed on December 1, 2012 in Hulbert, OK at the age of 67. She was born May 14, 1945 in Wagoner, OK to Nora and Doyle Davis. Velma married Jim West on May 19, 1989 in Nowata, OK. Velma enjoyed spending time with her family and taking care of her flowers and plants. She is survived by he Jim West of Hulbert; her sons, Alvin Moore and his wife, Gayla, of Webbers Falls, Larry Moore and his wife, Sharon, of Wagoner, Mike Moore and his wife, Bertha, of Webbers Falls, and daughter, Sherry Moore of Bartlesville; her brother, Charles Davis and his wife, Dorothy, of Wagoner; fourteen grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her sons, Doyle Moore and Kevin Moore; her mother, Nora Davis; her father, Doyle Davis; brothers, Johnny Davis and Billy Spradlin and a sister, Dorothy Rankins. A graveside funeral service will be held at Fort Gibson National Cemetery in Fort Gibson, OK at 2 p.m. Friday, December 7, 2012. The Reverend Bruce VonWald will officiate.
