Vera Marie Perry was born June 28, 1926 in Hulbert, OK to her parents, Oswald and Lola Bell (Gott) Moss. She grew up in the Hulbert area and graduated high school there. Vera worked for many years at Southwestern Bell as a secretary and clerk. She was also a member of the SW Bell Pioneers. For a few years, she volunteered at the Tulsa Regional Medical Center and was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Tulsa. Vera loved to square dance, craft ceramics, sew and crochet, making afghans for family members. She was a member of a ladies' bowling league, loved to travel and especially garden, growing some of the hottest peppers for her family. After her marriage to Bill Perry, they made their home in Arizona where they made many friends, joining the Mustang Car Club. For health reasons, they returned to the Tulsa area where Vera passed away Saturday, March 5, 2011. Vera was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, William G. Bill' Perry in 2007. She is survived by her son, Harold Compton and his wife, Sherry of Tulsa; her daughter, Marlene Marie Reavis also of Tulsa; grandchildren, Jason and Tony Cordova, Bob Compton and Jamie Marie Denson; great-grandchildren, Ryan, Emily and Mackenzie Cordova, Zoie Humphreys and Nathan and Hayden Cordova; a sister, Velma Park of Oklahoma City; a brother, Ivan Moss of Hulbert; numerous nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
