Viola Mae Fiedler, 95, a longtime resident of Iowa, died Saturday, August 17, 2013, in Wagoner, OK where she had been staying with her daughter and son-in-law, Patsy and David Sedore. A funeral service will be held in Bloomfield, Iowa at the Wagler Funeral Home on Saturday, August 24, 2013 at ten in the morning with the Reverend Reg Higginbottom officiating. A visitation will be held Friday 5-7 p.m. Interment will be in Fiedler Cemetery in Wapello County, Iowa. Mrs. Fiedler was born July 20, 1918 in Selma, Iowa to Orville and Ruth Della (Cooper) Troxel. She was formerly a longtime resident of Eldon, Iowa and Moulton, Iowa. She was a former mayor of Floris, Iowa. Her hobbies included quilting and embroidery. A fifty year member of Eastern Star, Viola served as Worthy Matron a number of times and was active in the Lioness Club and the Historical Society. Mrs. Fiedler was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy Fielder; her parents; three sisters and a brother; and two sons-in-law, Russell Brown and David Moore. Survivors include her children and their spouses, Peggy Brown of Moulton, Iowa, Linda and Larry Welch of Centerville, Iowa, Marcy and Harry Martsching of Moulton, Iowa and Patsy and David Sedore of Wagoner, Oklahoma; other relatives and friends.
