Virgil Ramon "Ray" Busby, was born February 19, 1931 in Hulbert, Oklahoma, one of ten children born to Ernest Rankies Busby and Fannie Beatrice (White) Busby. He made his home in a number of communities in the Tulsa area. Virgil was a good salesman whom everyone liked, but his life's passion was his love for the Lord; he was dedicated to spreading the Lord's word, even after he moved to the nursing home. He touched so many lives as a Pentecostal Holiness minister.

Ray's family knew him as the kindest and most loving brother, son, father and grandfather, and they will miss his music, singing and knowledge of the Bible. He is survived by six children and their spouses: Deborah Jean (Busby) and Gary Chohamin, Pandora Lee (Busby) and Harry Lay, Virgil Ramon Busby, Carol Ann (Busby) and Larry Pinkerton, Michelle (Busby) Kendall and Alexander and Jennifer Busby; two sisters, Ruby M. (Busby) Disheroon and Melba (Busby) and Don Fielden; one brother: David R. and Jennifer Busby; grandchildren:  Tony Busby, Tiffany Dawn Tillman, Shawn Busby and Brooke Elizabeth Busby; great-grandchildren: Ashley Brooke Wedel, Nicklaus Hunter Wedel, Jackson Chase Wedel, Slade Ryan Wedel, Roman Busby, Jadon Busby, St. August Busby and Colin Swafford; extended family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest and Fannie Busby; siblings, Joyce L. Busby, Ronnie Lee Busby, James William Busby, Kenneth C. Busby, Opal I. Busby and Ernest C. Busby and very good friend and nursing home roommate, Leonard Gentry Jr.

Ray will be laid to rest Thursday at 1 pm in the Hulbert Community (IOOF) Cemetery, in Hulbert, OK where he was born.
