Martha "Virginia" Neel was born on May 13, 1940, in Wagoner, Oklahoma to William Raymond Neel and Martha Hazel (Baker) Neel.  She graduated from Owasso Public Schools in 1958.

Virginia was known for her compassion and gratitude. She was always appreciative of the help she received from others.  Her family recalls assisting her around her home and never recollected a moment where she didn't say "Thank You", no matter the task.   She admired cooking and working in her yard, finding joy in these activities when she was able.  She was an avid fan of westerns, particularly Gunsmoke.  Her family held a special place in her heart, and she cherished every moment spent with her loved ones.  Her kind and appreciative nature touched the lives of those around her, leaving a lasting impression of her warm and loving personality.

Virginia departed this life on Thursday, August 22, 2024, at the age of 84 years, at her home in Tulsa, Oklahoma.  Proceeding her in death are her parents, William and Martha Neel.

Surviving Virginia and cherishing the many memories of her life include her brother, Elmer Neel and his wife, Robbie of Owasso, OK; niece, Lisa Bradley and her husband, Bruce of Sapulpa, OK; nephews, Eric Neel and his wife, Michelle of Glenpool, OK, and Chad Neel and his wife, Monica of Keller, TX; great nephew, Andrew Ostrander of Sapulpa, OK; and great-nieces, Samantha Neel of Midwest City and Alana Decker and her husband, Jacob of Fort Wayne, Indiana.  The compassion and gracefulness she had for her family will never be forgotten.

Private family graveside funeral Services will be held on Monday, August 26, 2024, at Pioneer Cemetery.  Officiating will be Elmer Neel.
